The elimination of gas vehicles is to restrict movement of its citizens or limit how far they can go. Most will forgo cars all together and remain within their dystopian 15min cities. "Freedom is Salvery"

Banning cars by 2035 means restrictions on use way before that. Expect bans on gas vehicles in cities by 2030

I suspect that increasing communist policy put in place will make a change of power increasingly difficult in coming elections.

The consumer carbon tax was not "scrapped". As emphasized by the CTF, the rate was (temporarily?) set to zero! Not the same thing.

They don’t need charging stations... the goal is you won’t drive. (15 minute cities)

Maybe???? Maybe not... but something they’ve discussed.
