Summer: Climate Gaslighting Season is Here
Share

There are four seasons in Canada: almost winter, winter, lingering winter, and summer. Personally, I think Canada is at its best during summer. Whether it’s lounging on the dock at the cottage, finishing the 18th hole as the sun sets, climbing a scenic hiking trail, or enjoying any of the other countless experiences Canadian summers offer, these activities always bring great joy to my life.

Unfortunately, those in power take every opportunity to ensure that Canadians don’t enjoy these blessings too much. Laurel Collins, NDP MP for Victoria, has declared it is “dangerously hot outside” and that “the climate crisis is here.” When discussing Canadian families being unable to afford a summer vacation, Trudeau’s Health Minister, Mark Holland, sarcastically remarked, "Don't worry kids about climate change! Apparently, every corner of the globe is warming faster than every other corner.
