Good morning, it’s Friday, November 21st. In today’s news, Realtors are now pitching illegal immigration fraud as success stories, PBO says Liberal deficit plan has a 7% chance of succeeding, The infantilization of Indigenous culture has become a shield for corruption, Health Canada pauses plan to remove labels on cloned meat after public outcry, and much more.
I agree government is the cause or accelerator of most problems. I am against any government. Precisely why I don’t give much credit to the term criminal. It infers that there is a legitimate authority with a(an) (unjustified) monopoly on violence and ontology.
True, you did not. Your comment insinuates amorality. In that a law is a law regardless of what others may criticize or ethically oppose.
Were people wrong to harbour escaped slaves? Not legally yet, by my morals, they were not.
If THEY decriminalized say murder (just to be extreme) would that make it ok?
If THEY criminalized owning purple carpet (just to be extreme) and enforced it with the full violence of the law would that make enforcement and prosecution ok?
This country’s thinking is lost!! Politicians will NOT save us they destroyed this country! :( Some may have watched it happen helplessly too caught up in their own problems 🤷♀️
Just because an act is illegal does not make it immoral. Slavery was once legal. Where I live owning hand guns is illegal. Was once illegal for women to vote.
I work primarily with FN governments. Your points are correct. Even once one realizes this there is still space for treating them like humans (not say you were inferring they are not).
I frequently meditate on what a realistic solution is. Sadly, nothing comes.
Yeah, that's my primary point. They're human. Not superior or inferior to anyone else. Would you be interested in discussing your role and what you've seen?
Can be podcast format or if you'd like to remain anonymous, we could have a discussion offline that I can turn into an article/videos?
Off line would be better. The impact of my opinion/observations would be difficult, not so much for some FN clients and friends whom I am honest with about such things but the community at large (FN and “allies”) who would be upset. In this small community it would be a pain in the ass and bluster I don’t need.
I grow up in communist country it was a nice life comparing to this one in Candada and trust me I’m not some loser I lived in 4 counties worked a learn but this I’m glued to this monster just because my son was born here loved his country a pay the price for now if we ever make it just alive I do not want ever even fly over this one ask me why go on LinkedIn all I could I posted inc pictures
A criminal is a criminal is a criminal!!! :(
Theft is morally wrong yet legal for the government to do.
Always been that way ‘rules for thee but not for me’ hypocrisy 🤷♀️ 👎🏻

It’s my feeling of being stolen from. 🤷♀️

I said nothing about morality.

I totally understand and will take steps to make sure there isn’t any unintended blowback.
Can you email me and we’ll sort out a preliminary call?
