The United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement—the deal that replaced NAFTA in 2020—is heading toward a high-stakes moment. On July 1, 2026, the agreement hits its mandatory review, which requires all three countries to agree to extend it for another 16 years. If they don’t, the deal starts to unravel. And right now, Canada is walking into that review from a position of utter weakness.

Talks between the US and Canada have stalled. Tariffs are piling up. And Washington is making it clear that renewal will come with strings attached—strings Canada doesn’t seem prepared to cut or negotiate around effectively.

The US has been blunt about its priorities. At the top of the list is Canada’s supply-management system for dairy—a tightly controlled regime of quotas and tariffs designed to protect domestic producers. Canada already made concessions on dairy access during the original USMCA negotiations in 2018, but US officials argue Ottawa hasn’t lived up to the spirit—or the letter—of the deal. American dairy exports, they say, are still being boxed out. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer has made it clear: no fix on dairy, no easy renewal.

Then there’s Canada’s Online Streaming Act. Washington sees it as a direct hit on US tech and media companies—Netflix, YouTube, Spotify—by forcing Canadian content requirements that distort the market. Add in the Online News Act, which compels digital platforms to subsidize Canadian publishers, and the message from the US is consistent: Canada is using regulation to tilt the playing field against American firms.

Other irritants keep stacking up. Provincial procurement rules in Ontario, Quebec, and BC that favour local companies. Provincial bans on US alcohol in response to trade disputes. Each move might play well domestically, but collectively they’ve inflamed tensions without delivering leverage. From Washington’s perspective, Canada looks less like a negotiating partner and more like a jurisdiction lashing out piecemeal.

President Trump has been happy to exploit that weakness. He’s openly used the threat of USMCA withdrawal—and escalating tariffs—as leverage, tying trade access to structural concessions. This isn’t subtle. It’s power politics. And Canada is on the wrong side of the power imbalance.

Ottawa’s response hasn’t helped. Prime Minister Mark Carney has admitted that a sector-by-sector deal to ease tariffs is “unlikely” ahead of the full USMCA review, with talks effectively frozen since late October 2025. One of the key turning points was an Ontario government ad campaign in the US attacking American protectionism and invoking Ronald Reagan—just as negotiations were nearing progress. The move was defended by Premier Doug Ford as clever and inexpensive—out of curiosity, does $75 million sound ‘inexpensive’ to you? The US ambassador called it unprecedented interference. President Trump responded by pulling the plug on talks altogether.

Carney has tried to calm things by scrapping the Digital Services Tax and easing some retaliatory tariffs, but the broader problem remains: Canada is negotiating as a collection of disconnected actors rather than a unified country with a coherent strategy.

Carney insists supply management is “never on the table.” That may be politically popular, but it also locks Canada into a standoff with few off-ramps—especially when no credible alternative strategy has been offered to blunt the economic fallout.

With the USMCA review still months away and negotiations frozen, businesses are stuck in limbo. Investment decisions are delayed. Costs rise. Consumers eventually pay. Canada’s competitive edge erodes while uncertainty becomes the norm.

Yet watch how this gets framed. Much of the media casts Trump as the cartoon villain—the bully at the gate—while positioning Carney as the principled underdog standing up for Canada. It’s a comforting narrative. However, it also lowers the bar. Any partial concession can be spun as a win. Any damage can be blamed on American aggression.

But trade wars don’t care about narratives. They care about leverage, coordination, and outcomes. And right now, Canada is running short on all three.

The Lost Generation

There is a quiet story about the past decade that rarely gets told, mostly because the people living it learned early that saying it out loud came with consequences.

It begins around 2014. That was the moment when diversity, equity, and inclusion stopped being a loose moral aspiration and became an institutional system. Not a slogan, not a training module, but a set of incentives that reshaped hiring, promotion, and prestige across media, academia, and the creative industries. The change was not evenly distributed. Older men already holding power were largely untouched. The cost fell on those still trying to enter the room.

For white male millennials, this meant arriving just as the rules changed. In journalism, hiring quietly shifted from “best candidate” to demographic balancing, with newsroom leaders openly admitting they could not justify hiring another white man, regardless of qualifications. Internships and fellowships followed the same logic. Over time, many simply stopped applying, having absorbed the message that these institutions were no longer meant for them.

Academia followed a similar path. Universities layered diversity statements into faculty hiring, used identity-coded research areas as filters, and relied on cluster hires to steer outcomes without stating quotas outright. The result was predictable. Applicant pools remained mixed, but offers tilted sharply away from white men at the junior level, even as senior departments remained dominated by older faculty who would not retire for decades. The optics of imbalance justified remedies that compounded it.

Hollywood was blunter. Writers’ rooms and fellowships circulated internal directives prioritizing “women and diverse” candidates. Entry-level roles—the gateway to a career—were effectively closed, while established names remained protected. A generation of capable writers watched the ladder pulled up one rung above them, told to keep grinding in a system that no longer had a place for them.

The common feature across industries was silence. Those affected rarely spoke publicly. Careers were fragile, and everyone understood that questioning the framework marked you as a problem. So people adapted. They learned the language, performed “allyship,” or exited entirely into spaces with lower barriers—podcasting, Substack, crypto—fields not because they were prestigious, but because they were open.

What replaced merit was not fairness, but managed optics. Institutions congratulated themselves for progress while quietly denying that anything had changed. Decline in trust, quality, and legitimacy was treated as unrelated.

The damage is not just economic. It is psychological. Many of the men caught in this shift delayed families, abandoned vocations, or internalized failure that was never purely theirs. They were told the world was becoming more just, even as it grew less honest.

Society cannot remain healthy when entire cohorts learn that effort is secondary to category—and that noticing this fact is itself forbidden. Source.

$300,000 for a Decolonization Protest Blocking a Canadian Pipeline

Canada has entered a strange phase where some protests trigger emergency powers, while others are quietly subsidized—so long as they align with the right ideology. The latest example comes from British Columbia, where the Vancouver Foundation quietly awarded $300,000 to a group operating an illegal forest blockade against a major energy project, rebranded as a “Decolonial Dog Sanctuary.”

On paper, the grant funds a “land-based re-occupation” rooted in hereditary authority rather than “colonial agreements.” In practice, it bankrolls an activist encampment deliberately placed in the planned right-of-way of the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline. The sanctuary’s own materials are explicit. This is not a side project or symbolic protest. It is a physical blockade. The slogan says it plainly: puppies, not pipelines.

The site, known as Wilp Aasosxw, consists of makeshift structures, a converted bus, and dozens of dogs used as both moral shield and media device. Its overseer has openly stated that preventing construction is the goal, declaring the pipeline will only proceed “over my dead body.” The sanctuary’s promotional videos go further, describing the project as “Land Defence + Dog Sanctuary” built directly in the path of development.

What makes this case harder to ignore is not the protest itself—Canada has seen plenty of those—but who is paying for it, and what it is blocking. The PRGT pipeline is co-owned by the Nisga’a Nation and has formal backing from Gitxsan Hereditary Chiefs. It was recently added to the Carney government’s list of major nation-building projects and is tied to the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal, promoted as one of the world’s lowest-emission LNG operations.

In other words, this is not a case of Indigenous communities versus industry. It is a case of activists claiming hereditary authority to obstruct a project that has already secured Indigenous ownership, consent, and economic partnership. That distinction matters, yet it is routinely blurred—often deliberately.

The grant also raises uncomfortable questions about accountability. The sanctuary’s operator has acknowledged limited experience with animal care, while portraying aggressive dogs as spiritual participants in a healing process. The blockade itself mirrors earlier efforts like the Tiny House Warriors, whose members were later convicted for damaging equipment and assaulting workers during pipeline evictions.

None of this fits the tidy moral narrative that Canada’s philanthropic and activist class prefers. A charitable foundation has funded an illegal blockade against a project endorsed by Indigenous governments, backed by environmental metrics Ottawa itself praises. This is not reconciliation. It is institutional confusion—where ideology outruns law, consent, and common sense.

Canada cannot build anything if every approved project can be vetoed by whoever deploys the most emotive language and the cutest props. At some point, protest stops being dissent and becomes sabotage—especially when it’s underwritten by tax-advantaged money. Source.

But readiness “as-is” should not be confused with preparedness for sustained, high-intensity conflict. Beneath Carignan’s steady tone lies a more fragile reality. Canada divested core capabilities for decades and is now racing to rebuild them in a compressed timeframe. Air defence systems no longer exist at scale. Munitions stockpiles are thin. Domestic defence industrial capacity is limited. Arctic infrastructure remains sparse relative to the territory being defended. Personnel shortages persist, and reserves lack the depth required for true mobilization.

These are not abstract problems. Ukraine has shown how quickly modern warfare burns through equipment, manpower, and logistics. Canada is not positioned to absorb prolonged strain without relying heavily on allies—particularly the United States.

Carignan opposes mandatory service, arguing that Canada’s military performs best as a volunteer force. In isolation, that position makes sense. Volunteers tend to be more committed, cohesive, and effective than conscripts. But this raises a deeper question her interview does not address: why would voluntary service scale in the first place?

For more than a decade, Canada’s political and institutional leadership has framed national identity as either nonexistent or morally suspect. Young Canadians have been taught—explicitly and implicitly—that the country is defined more by historical wrongdoing than shared purpose, that its traditions are liabilities, and that national pride is something to be unlearned. In that environment, asking citizens to risk their lives for the state becomes psychologically incoherent.This is where optimism collides with sociology. Armies draw from society. Voluntary sacrifice requires legitimacy, continuity, and belief. When those are eroded, recruitment falters and cohesion weakens. Ironically, it is this erosion of meaning that makes conscription more likely in a true emergency, not less.

Canada’s military leadership is trying to rebuild hardware and capability under pressure. But without rebuilding the idea of the country itself, readiness will remain technical rather than real. Source.

Death by Policy: How 6 Federal Bills Are Turning Canada Into a Police State

Canada is not losing its freedoms in a dramatic overnight crackdown. It’s losing them quietly, inch-by-inch, through a stack of laws that on their own sound reasonable—but together fundamentally transform the relationship between citizens, the state, and the internet. This is how modern democracies slide into managed speech and permanent surveillance: not through one shocking law, but through many small ones that never quite trigger mass resistance.

It started with the Online Streaming Act (Bill C-11), which pulled streaming platforms and even user-generated content under the authority of the CRTC. For the first time, individual Canadians—creators, podcasters, small businesses, advocacy groups—were effectively treated as broadcasters subject to government rules on what counts as “Canadian” content and what should be promoted or buried online. By mandating “discoverability” and funding for state-approved content, the government undermined net neutrality and gave regulators power over what Canadians see, hear, and share.

Then came the Online News Act (Bill C-18), sold as a way to support journalism. In reality, it broke the digital news ecosystem. Meta blocked Canadian news entirely, slashing traffic to independent outlets, while Google negotiated a $100-million annual payment scheme that funnels money primarily to legacy media. The result: fewer independent voices, more centralized media, and a press corps increasingly reliant on government-sanctioned funding rather than public trust.

The now-defunct but far from dead Online Harms Act (Bill C-63) revealed the next step. Under the emotionally unassailable banner of “protecting children,” the bill proposed a powerful new Digital Safety Commission with the authority to force platforms to remove lawful speech, demand user data, conduct warrantless searches, and levy massive fines—without meaningful parliamentary oversight. Even more alarming, it would have empowered human rights tribunals and judges to punish Canadians for non-criminal speech, including pre-emptive restrictions based on what someone might say in the future.

Still before Parliament is the Strong Borders Act (Bill C-2)—a misnamed piece of legislation that dramatically expands warrantless access to subscriber data and metadata, not just for police but for a wide range of government officials. It compels online service providers to hand over private information without judicial approval, allows Canada Post to open mail without a warrant, and even criminalizes large cash transactions. This is surveillance infrastructure, not border control.

Alongside it sits the Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act (Bill C-8), which gives cabinet the power to declare virtually any service “vital” and then order telecom providers to cut specific people or products off from networks entirely. Under vague language about “interference” or “manipulation,” the government could exert control over vast swaths of digital infrastructure—with no clarity on whether dissent, mislabelled “disinformation,” could trigger enforcement.

Finally, the Combatting Hate Act (Bill C-9) lowers the bar for hate-speech prosecutions by removing the requirement for attorney-general approval and dramatically increasing penalties. It opens the door to more Canadians being investigated, charged, or silenced over speech—especially online speech that is permanent, searchable, and easily misinterpreted. Religious expression, political activism, and protest all become legal risks in a system that increasingly mirrors the UK’s aggressive policing of online opinion.

Individually, each of these bills can be defended with comforting rhetoric. Together, they amount to something far more dangerous: a government-managed digital environment where speech is monitored, visibility is regulated, privacy is conditional, and dissent carries growing personal risk. This is the “boiling frog” model of control—slow enough that people adapt, until one day they realize the water is already too hot.

Canada still has a choice. But the window is closing. The erosion of freedom doesn’t announce itself as tyranny—it arrives disguised as safety, fairness, and modernization. And by the time people finally notice, the clicks have already added up.

The Politics of Holiday Displays in an Ontario Elementary School

A public elementary school in Whitby has once again found itself at the centre of a debate many Canadian institutions would rather avoid: how inclusion is applied in practice, and whether it is being enforced evenly.

At Pringle Creek Public School, Christmas has been folded into a generic “winter” theme. The school’s main December display featured snowflakes, a decorated tree, and a character from Disney’s Frozen. A cookie sale followed the same pattern, marketed without any reference to Christmas itself. Taken alone, this would not raise eyebrows. Schools routinely opt for secular seasonal language.

The concern arises when this restraint appears selective.

Throughout the year, Pringle Creek has openly and explicitly recognized other religious and cultural holidays. Diwali was clearly named and promoted on the school’s social media, accompanied by themed displays. Islamic holidays have been acknowledged with student activities, including videos of children dancing to Arabic-language Eid songs. Hanukkah and Kwanzaa were referenced as part of “December celebrations.” Lunar New Year received multiple posts.

Christian holidays, by contrast, have been consistently reframed as seasonal or aesthetic events. Easter was presented as a spring-themed STEM activity focused on basket design. Displays featured eggs, flowers, and the Easter bunny, with no reference to the holiday’s religious meaning. Christmas, similarly, was reduced to winter imagery—present, but unnamed.

Multiple community members have now raised concerns about what they describe as an ongoing pattern: the dilution of Christian holidays alongside the full recognition of others. One parent contacted the school’s principal directly to ask why Christian observances were treated differently. The principal acknowledged the concern but maintained that the school is committed to “equity and inclusion,” stating that many cultures and faith-based celebrations are respected.

That explanation, however, does not address the core question. Equity does not mean avoiding the majority tradition while naming minority ones. Inclusion does not require erasure. In a pluralistic society, neutrality should be applied evenly—or not at all.

Public schools are not churches, nor should they be. But they are cultural institutions, embedded in communities with histories, traditions, and shared reference points. When some holidays are allowed to exist as what they are, while others are quietly stripped of their identity, the result is not neutrality. It is asymmetry.

True inclusion is not about subtraction. It is about consistency—and the confidence to acknowledge the full reality of the society schools serve. Source.

When Killing Children Becomes “Care,” a Society Has Lost Its Moral Compass

There are certain ideas so dark that their mere appearance in public debate tells you something has gone badly wrong. When a society begins calmly weighing whether it should kill its own children, not as a tragedy but as a policy option, it has crossed a moral line. Canada crossed that line years ago. Now it is marching forward with clipboards and clinical language, calling it progress.

The latest reminder came when the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) told the Daily Mail that “medical assistance in dying may be an appropriate treatment for babies suffering from extreme pain.” The CMQ added that “parents should have the opportunity to obtain this care for their infant under these well-defined circumstances.” They insist this would apply only in severe cases where suffering is unmanageable. But an infant cannot speak, cannot consent, cannot even describe pain. What counts as “unmanageable” is left entirely to third-party judgment—doctors, parents, committees—guessing at a life they do not live.

This is where the Orwellian doublespeak becomes impossible to ignore. Euthanasia is repeatedly framed as “care.” The CMQ itself uses that word. On a previous Blendr clip about MAiD, one commenter wrote, “MAiD is a good service that helped my family.” Whatever one’s moral view, the honest language is this: MAiD is a service that killed his family member. As Orwell warned, “political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable.” Canada has mastered the form.

It would be comforting to believe this is the work of a few rogue practitioners or a single overzealous medical college. It isn’t. These ideas have already seeped into Parliament. A joint parliamentary committee has recommended expanding assisted dying to minors. Witnesses told MPs that a minor’s capacity to make an informed decision is not a function of age, nor of the suffering they endure. The committee ultimately agreed, concluding that eligibility for MAiD “should not be denied on the basis of age alone.”

Anna Farrow has rightly pointed out the disturbing historical parallel that accompanies this thinking. The first organized government program of euthanasia for disabled infants began in Nazi Germany in 1939, after a single “mercy killing.” That logic metastasized into Aktion T4, which murdered roughly 250,000 disabled children and adults by 1945. History did not begin with concentration camps. It began with paperwork, doctors, and bureaucratic language.

Since legalization in 2016, more than 76,000 Canadians have died through MAiD. In 2024 alone, 16,499 deaths—over five percent of all deaths nationwide—were attributed to it, a figure rising year after year as eligibility expands through mechanisms like Track 2, where death need not be imminent.

Jonathan Reggler, a retired Vancouver Island family physician who provided MAiD, was blunt about how he resolves the moral tension in Track 2 cases. “Once you accept that life is not sacred and [not] something that can only be taken by God, a being I don’t believe in – then … some of us have to go forward and say, ‘We’ll do it’.”

That is not compassion. It is something far colder. And the fact that we are debating it at all should terrify us.

Hanukkah Massacre: Terror Attack in Australia Shocks the World as Jewish Celebration Turns to Bloodshed

On December 14, 2025—the first night of Hanukkah—a peaceful gathering of more than 1,000 Jewish celebrants at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach descended into horror when two gunmen opened fire on the “Chanukah by the Sea” event organized by Chabad of Bondi. Australian authorities quickly declared this a terrorist attack. At least 16 people were killed, including one of the attackers and a child, while more than 40 others were injured, many critically.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as families, children, and elderly attendees fled amid gunfire around 7:30 pm local time. Some reported hearing shouts of “Allahu Akbar,” while non-Jews were warned to leave the area.

The Attack and Suspects

The gunmen, dressed in black and armed with automatic weapons, deliberately targeted the Jewish event on a crowded summer evening—despite a police station being just 150 metres away. Police arrived within five to ten minutes, during which the attackers unleashed sustained gunfire.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed the suspects were a father-son pair: 50-year-old Naveed Akram, who was fatally shot by police at the scene, and his 24-year-old son, who remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Authorities are not currently seeking additional suspects but are investigating possible broader connections, including reports of Iranian social media accounts celebrating the attack. An explosive device recovered from a nearby vehicle raised further concerns about a more complex plot.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the assault as “an act of pure evil,” emphasizing that it was deliberately aimed at Australia’s Jewish community and declaring there is no place for such hatred in the country. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns echoed those remarks, noting the attack was carried out on the first night of Hanukkah with clear intent.

A Hero Amid the Chaos

Amid the carnage, an extraordinary act of courage may have saved countless lives. Ahmed al Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner from Sutherland and father of two, tackled one of the gunmen from behind after being shot himself. Bystander footage shows al Ahmed wresting the shotgun away, briefly pointing it back at the attacker before securing it by a nearby tree.

Al Ahmed’s actions have been widely praised around the world, with calls for official recognition and a verified GoFundMe campaign proposed by investor Bill Ackman. Family members said his intervention represented “humanity’s finest,” standing as a powerful rebuttal to the hatred driving the attack.

Global Shockwaves

The Bondi Beach massacre sent shockwaves internationally, prompting heightened security alerts in major US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, amid rising antisemitic incidents. Officials cited the attack as part of a broader global pattern of escalating Jew-hatred.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Australian policies may have contributed to an environment in which such violence could take root. At the same time, President Trump urged Jewish Americans to celebrate Hanukkah proudly despite the tragedy.

In a sharply worded opinion piece, former Canadian ambassador to Israel Vivian Bercovici described the massacre as the brutal consequence of “globalizing the intifada.” She argued that unchecked antisemitic demonstrations in countries like Australia and Canada since October 2023 have emboldened extremists, criticizing political leaders for tolerating hate under the banner of free expression. Bercovici called for bans on protests that incite violence and stronger protections for Jewish communities, warning that unequal treatment of Jewish victims only fuels further attacks.

As investigations continue, Commissioner Lanyon urged calm and warned against retaliatory violence. No group has claimed responsibility, but authorities say the motive appears rooted in antisemitism, with ongoing probes into possible international links.

A Floor Crossing Too Close to Beijing for Comfort

Michael Ma’s decision to cross the floor from the Conservatives to Mark Carney’s Liberals would be controversial in any Parliament. Coming from Markham–Unionville, it is something more serious.

Floor crossing is legal. That is not the question. The question is whether Canadians should be expected to accept it without scrutiny when the seat involved has been repeatedly flagged—by intelligence briefings, public scandals, and confirmed election-threat warnings—as an area of heightened foreign-state pressure.

Markham–Unionville has not been an ordinary riding for some time. In the 2021 election, senior Conservative figures say they were briefed by Canadian intelligence that Chinese officials were actively surveilling the Conservative incumbent, Bob Saroya. These briefings described activity they believed went beyond observation—campaign teams allegedly shadowed, voters allegedly intimidated, and foreign officials showing unusual interest in a single local race. CSIS has never publicly confirmed those claims, but they were serious enough to linger at the highest levels of Canadian politics.

The riding returned to national attention in the 2025 campaign. Liberal MP Paul Chiang publicly suggested that a Conservative rival, Joe Tay—who was under a Hong Kong bounty for criticizing Beijing—could be turned over to Chinese diplomats. Chiang later said he was joking. Tay called it intimidation. International Hong Kong diaspora groups took it seriously enough to urge RCMP involvement. Only after that pressure did Chiang step aside.

That same election cycle, Ottawa publicly acknowledged something Canada had never admitted before: a transnational repression operation targeting a federal candidate, using Chinese-language platforms to intimidate and discredit him. Police advised the targeted candidate to suspend door-to-door canvassing. Election-threat monitors confirmed digital harassment consistent with authoritarian pressure tactics.

Against that backdrop, Michael Ma won Markham–Unionville for the Conservatives—then crossed the floor months later, helping push Carney’s minority government to the brink of majority power.

There is no evidence Ma acted under direction or coercion. He says his decision was personal and rooted in governance preferences. That claim deserves to be stated clearly and fairly.

But democracies do not run on intent alone. They run on trust.

When a riding repeatedly associated with CCP-linked intimidation allegations, intelligence warnings, and public interference controversies produces a floor crossing that materially alters national power, Canadians are entitled to ask hard questions.

If Canada wants the label of “democracy,” this cannot be brushed aside as routine parliamentary trivia. At minimum, a floor crossing from a riding with this history should trigger a by-election. Source.

Why Europeans Conquered the World

Why did Europe — a relatively small peninsula on the western edge of Eurasia — end up shaping so much of global history? The clearest answer begins with geography. Europe’s landmass stretches east to west, unlike others which run north to south. That single fact made the spread of agriculture and domesticated animals far easier across Europe’s similar climates, while other continents were divided by deserts, jungles, and drastic seasonal shifts.

Food production is the first step in building a civilization. When people can grow crops, store them, and rely on surplus, they’re freed from the constant demands of hunting and gathering. That shift unlocks everything that follows: specialized work, innovation, metalworking, written language, complex government, and standing armies. Societies without easily domesticated crops or beasts of burden stayed smaller, more dispersed, and less able to coordinate on a large scale.

Domesticated animals also brought something unintended: disease. Living alongside livestock exposed Europeans to smallpox, measles, and influenza for thousands of years, slowly building population-level immunity. When Europeans crossed the oceans, Indigenous peoples had no such defences. Estimates vary widely by region, but the overwhelming majority of Indigenous deaths during colonisation came from germs, not war. Some historical estimates suggest that disease accounted for nearly ninety percent of Indigenous deaths during the colonial period.

Geography shaped political competition as well. Europe’s dense cluster of rivers, ports, and neighbouring states encouraged constant trade and rivalry. If one kingdom developed better ships or stronger steel, the others either matched it or fell behind. Large, isolated empires such as China could flourish for centuries but also stagnate without the same external pressure.

By the time Europeans began exploring the world, they possessed steel weapons, ocean-going ships, gunpowder, bureaucratic systems, and hardened immunity. Many of the societies they encountered did not. European conquest wasn’t the product of a uniquely evil culture — it was human nature expressed at scale by a civilization with unusual geographic advantages. Any group with those same resources would likely have done the same.

But there was also a cultural twist. Between the 6th and 12th centuries, the Catholic Church imposed strict marriage rules: no cousin marriage, no clan marriage, no large-kin alliances. This dismantled Europe’s old tribal structure. While it increased out-marriage and reduced inbreeding, its deeper effect was social. Without strong clans, Europeans built voluntary institutions — universities, monasteries, merchant networks, courts, and cities — that rewarded cooperation with strangers rather than loyalty only to kin.

Weak tribes made strong states possible. Strong states fostered markets, literacy, innovation, and the rule of law. These weren’t perfect societies, but they had fewer barriers to scale, growth, and trust. And in the long sweep of history, those conditions helped Europe move outward — reshaping the world long before the world could push back.

US Proposes Rule Requiring Five Years of Social Media History From Many Canadian Residents

It states that applicants would be asked to provide five years of social media history, though it does not specify which platforms this would cover or how the data would be handled. The document also notes that other “high value data fields” may be added, such as ten years of email addresses, five years of personal and business phone numbers, and lists of family members with birth information.

Digital rights groups in the United States have raised concerns. The Electronic Frontier Foundation told U.S. media that social media screening has not proven effective for security purposes and may affect privacy and free expression for travellers and their contacts. The U.S. State Department recently introduced a separate rule requiring some non-immigrant visa applicants to set certain social media profiles to public while their applications are processed.

“Biggest Transnational Crime Group on Earth”: Why Canada Must Break Free From China

A group of top national security experts is sounding the alarm: Canada’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has crossed from economic engagement into a full-blown democratic threat.

At a Dec. 6 forum in Toronto, former RCMP proceeds-of-crime director Garry Clement called the CCP “the biggest transnational organized crime group ever seen,” warning that Beijing is actively infiltrating Canada’s political, business, and cultural institutions. Through the United Front Work Department, the CCP co-opts elites, business leaders, community organizations, and media outlets—while intimidating and surveilling dissidents “on a daily basis.”

Clement also linked Beijing to the fentanyl crisis, saying the CCP could shut down precursor shipments to Canada “if they really wanted to,” but instead allows the flow as a form of “disruptive warfare,” echoing the tactics of the Opium Wars.

Dean Baxendale, CEO of the China Democracy Fund, described the CCP’s presence in Canada as “warfare without combat”—hybrid operations involving cyber-espionage, organized crime, financial coercion, port influence, propaganda networks, and targeted manipulation of public opinion. He warned that China’s reach touches everything from universities to housing markets to local elections.

Dr. Maria Cheung emphasized that Canadian intelligence agencies identify the CCP as the most sophisticated and persistent foreign interference actor targeting Canada, weaponizing media, lawfare, and psychological pressure to silence critics and reshape Canadian discourse.

Human rights lawyer David Matas detailed multiple cases of transnational repression on Canadian soil—from Falun Gong practitioners being targeted and expelled from community groups, to consular officials distributing hate material, to foreign events about human rights in China being shut down under CCP pressure.

The experts all delivered the same message: Canada is being manipulated, infiltrated, and coerced by a hostile foreign power—and the relationship is now a liability, not an asset.

Their call to action is blunt: Canadians must push for legislative reforms, stronger law enforcement tools, diaspora protection, digital literacy, and public awareness—and above all, recognize that the CCP’s grip on our institutions is not normal and cannot continue.

Canada must decouple—politically, economically, and institutionally—from the CCP’s influence before the damage becomes irreversible.

Canada Adds Four New Groups to Its List of Terrorist Entities

The federal government has expanded its list of terrorist entities, adding four new groups under the Criminal Code. The update includes 764, Maniac Murder Cult, Terrorgram Collective, and the ISIS affiliate Islamic State–Mozambique.

The Bloc Québécois has pushed ever since to strip out the religious exemption so prosecutors can go after extremist rhetoric like his.

Instead of narrowly targeting incitement to violence, Bill C-9 opens the door to treating Christian, Jewish, and other sacred texts as criminal when read aloud in public. Even the government admits this. Marc Miller, the new minister of Canadian identity and culture, told a committee that the Bible contains “clear hatred,” particularly toward homosexuals, and that prosecutors should be free to lay charges.

Which passages? Miller himself has pointed to Deuteronomy 22:22 — the command that adulterers should be put to death — and Leviticus 20:13, the ancient Israelite law prescribing the same for homosexual acts. He also referenced the Book of Romans. These texts are thousands of years old, interpreted today as moral, symbolic, or historical — not literal blueprints for violence. Yet under Bill C-9, their public recitation could be reframed as “wilful promotion of hatred,” a crime carrying up to two years in prison.

The irony is staggering. Canada has no movement calling for the stoning of adulterers. Churches preach forgiveness, not execution. Yet the state is now positioning itself to criminalize the airing of scripture while turning a blind eye to open hostility toward Christians — including church burnings.

This is not about safety. It is about power. A free society does not let the government decide which parts of its founding religious texts become prosecutable speech. And once the state claims that authority, every belief — every dissent — becomes conditional on political approval.

The public sector’s share of total employment has risen from 19.7 percent in 2015 to 21.5 percent in 2024. That may seem like a modest shift, but in a labour market the size of Canada’s, it represents a structural tilt toward dependence on tax-funded employment. Meanwhile, private-sector job growth—where innovation, productivity, and wealth creation actually occur—has lagged far behind. Public-sector jobs grew at 2.7 percent per year, while private-sector jobs grew at 1.7 percent. Almost every province saw government employment outpace private employment, with Manitoba being the lone exception.

But the most striking trend is inside the public sector itself. Public administration—what most of us think of as the civil service—grew by 328,200 positions, nearly a third of the entire public-sector expansion and ten percent of all new jobs in Canada. These roles do not directly produce health care, educate children, or deliver frontline services. They are overhead: regulatory managers, compliance officers, administrators, coordinators—an expanding machinery of the state that governs, supervises, and audits the productive economy rather than contributing to it.

This comes at a time when Canada faces a well-documented productivity crisis. Our output per worker has stagnated for a decade, even as governments at every level run persistent deficits. The study warns that a growing public workforce—especially on the administrative side—will further strain public finances, slow productivity, and deepen the economic malaise already visible across the country.

The message is clear: Canada does not have a revenue problem. It has an allocation problem. A larger share of the workforce is shifting into roles funded by taxes, while a smaller share remains in the sectors that generate the prosperity those taxes rely on. But offend the sensibilities of adults who want to expose children to their sexual fetishes under the banner of “inclusion,” and the hammer drops. Hurt a pastor? Protected speech. Hurt the feelings of someone organizing drag programming for kids? Jail.

This is not equality under the law. This is hierarchy — ideological hierarchy — where the new priesthood of progressive identity groups enjoys privileges no ordinary citizen can expect.

Élections Québec is examining text messages suggesting that some supporters in Rodriguez’s leadership bid were rewarded with cash in connection with their votes and membership cards. Quebec’s anti-corruption unit has begun early work, interviewing former caucus leader Marwah Rizqy and opening the door to potential investigations of corruption, fraud, breach of trust, or influence-peddling.

The party responded by attacking the journalists who broke the story and launching its own internal review. It is the same pattern we have seen during every Liberal crisis of the past decade: deny, counterattack, and hope procedural fog buys time.

But the story is larger than Rodriguez. It is about the structural gap Canada refuses to close. Under Quebec’s Election Act, it is not explicitly illegal to pay someone for their vote in a leadership race. Vote-buying in a general election can lead to fines and criminal penalties. The same act says nothing when the vote determines who could become premier. This is the loophole foreign actors, corrupt networks, and party insiders can exploit because the law treats internal party races as private rituals rather than moments of democratic consequence.

The Hogue Commission warned that party nominations and leadership contests are gateways for manipulation. But the evidence piling up in front of us makes that position impossible to defend. We are not just importing people. We are importing entire ecosystems of crime, corruption, and foreign conflicts. And nowhere is this clearer than in the surge of cases tied directly to India.

Start with Peel Region, where police have now investigated more than 60 extortion incidents targeting business owners. This isn’t petty crime — it’s an organized network involving 23 arrests, 156 charges, 20 firearms, stolen vehicles, meth trafficking, and cross-border coordination with U.S. agencies. These aren’t random actors drifting through Canada. These are structured criminal networks operating comfortably inside Canadian cities.

Then look at the National Post’s investigation: the Brampton-based trucking pipelines tied to an international narco-operation spanning Los Angeles, Mexico, and Colombia. The FBI alleges that Indo-Canadian drivers, many with permanent resident status, were key transporters for a cartel overseen by a Canadian fugitive described as a “modern-day El Chapo.” This is not a Canada most people recognize — but it is becoming one.

Or consider the Surrey café shootings. Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon entered Canada on an employment visa, quickly joined Indo-Canadian gang factions, and allegedly helped coordinate a series of extortion-related shootings before fleeing back to India. His social media shows him and others recklessly firing weapons in Canadian neighbourhoods, as if the country were a playground for imported gang culture.

And then there’s the cultural rhetoric. In one viral clip, TED-talk speaker Wajahat Ali boasts that Indians will “outbreed” Westerners, mockingly declaring, “You have lost… we are everywhere.” This isn’t multiculturalism. It’s Indian colonialism — and it reveals how some see Canada not as a nation to join, but as a society to dominate.

Finally, the social-program exploitation: a viral tutorial from Harjeet S. Kelsi teaching Indians how to collect CPP while living in India, encouraging people who no longer live in Canada to drain a system built for those who do.

And these are only the stories from the past week. To cover the past decade, you’d need a thousand-page book. The pattern is unmistakable — consistent, documented, and emerging overwhelmingly from a single source country at a volume Canada has no capacity to absorb or control.

This isn’t sustainable. It isn’t safe. And it isn’t fair — to Canadians, or to the immigrants who come here in good faith.

Canada Risks Falling to China’s Mercy as Trade Dependency Deepens Under Carney

It shouldn’t even be up for debate at this point: Canadians should be up in arms about how deeply the Liberal government is cozying back up to China. Charles Burton—a China scholar with 55 years of firsthand experience living, working, and studying inside the Chinese system—lays out exactly how China has outplayed Canada for decades, and the warnings he’s issuing now could not be clearer.

Burton says it’s reckless, even dangerous, for Canada to rebuild economic dependence on China just because relations with the US are strained. Relying on Beijing for our exports—resources, agriculture, minerals, wood—hands the Chinese regime a giant lever of economic coercion. They’ve used it against Australia, Lithuania, and countless others. Canada would be no different.

And yet, under Prime Minister Mark Carney, Ottawa is openly trying to “renew” ties with Xi Jinping. Their October meeting—framed by both sides as a “turning point”—was treated by Beijing as Canada returning to its place: a supplicant. Xi’s readout lectured Canada on “viewing China correctly.” Those lines didn’t appear in Carney’s version, which instead echoed Chinese Communist Party language about being “pragmatic and constructive”—code for staying quiet about human rights abuses, influence operations, and foreign interference.

Burton warns Carney’s approach risks precisely that: quietly accepting China’s genocide against Uyghurs, the oppression of Tibetans, and—most alarmingly—interference within Canada itself. He notes that despite a G7 declaration condemning transnational repression, Canada still hasn’t expelled a single Chinese diplomat involved in intimidation operations against diaspora communities. The long-promised foreign interference registry—passed in law over a year ago—still hasn’t been implemented.

Experts like Burton and publisher Dean Baxendale say this failure to act has only emboldened Beijing. Chinese intimidation, disinformation, and coercion targeting people in Canada are increasing, yet Ottawa offers nothing more than press releases and photo-ops.

This is the part Canadians need to understand: China is actively interfering here, and the Liberal government is moving Canada closer to the very regime undermining our sovereignty, security, and democracy.

This shouldn’t be niche knowledge. It should be national outrage.

The Gender Predation Paradigm

Here is the most controversial opinion that society must recognize before it’s too late: female promiscuity and pornography are the female equivalents of violent criminal behaviour in men. Both are pathological inversions of the masculine ideal of strength and the feminine ideal of beauty. This is what I call The Gender Predation Paradigm—a framework for understanding how male and female failure modes mirror each other in a culture that has dissolved every guardrail meant to civilize them.

Human behaviour didn’t spring out of thin air. It grew out of evolutionary incentives.
Men’s physical strength evolved for protection, provision, and competition.
Women’s beauty and fertility cues evolved for mate selection and securing long-term investment.
These traits weren’t decorative—they were survival strategies. But when cultural guardrails break—family structure, sexual norms, community cohesion—these strengths don’t disappear. They become weaponized.

Men commit almost all violent crime, not because men are evil, but because male traits like risk-taking, impulsivity, and aggression become destructive when they detach from duty. The typical male failure mode is straightforward: use strength to take resources. Robbery, assault, fraud, gang violence—the dark side of masculinity is force.

The typical female failure mode follows the same evolutionary logic but through a different channel: use beauty and sexuality to extract resources. Not through building families or stable partnerships, but through promiscuity, pornography, sugaring, attention-maximizing, and short-term manipulation of male desire. This isn’t identical to male criminality, but it serves the same function: exploit one’s biological advantage to prey on the weak and pull resources from them.

This is what happens when ideals collapse.
Masculine ideal: protector, builder, disciplined. Pathology: thug, drifter, criminal.
Feminine ideal: nurturer, chooser, gatekeeper of pair-bonding. Pathology: promiscuous manipulator, seller of intimacy, extractor of attention.

Both are corrupted versions of real virtues.

Why does this happen now? Three modern accelerants:

1. Collapse of stigma—no social cost to selling or exploiting sexuality.

2. Technological leverage—OnlyFans, Tinder, and algorithmic porn turn beauty into a scalable commodity.

3. Weak communities and widespread fatherlessness—no training, no guardrails, no cultural expectations.

The root cause is the same for both sexes: fatherlessness and the erosion of family norms. Men commit less crime when bonded, mentored, and embedded in community. Women exploit sexuality less when guided by fathers, mothers, and strong social norms toward healthy pair-bonding.

And the consequences are the same: societal decay.
When men’s pathology goes unchecked, communities collapse into violence.
When women’s pathology goes unchecked, relationships collapse into mistrust, loneliness, and demographic decline.

Both are downstream from a culture that no longer admits masculine and feminine ideals exist—let alone that they must be channelled, not denied.

President Donald Trump just took over the G20 presidency from South Africa, pledging to return the forum to its core mission of driving global economic growth. “As we usher in these much-needed reforms, we will prioritize three core themes: unleashing economic prosperity by limiting regulatory burdens, unlocking affordable and secure energy supply chains, and pioneering new technologies and innovations,” said the State Department. The next G20 Leaders’ Summit is set for Miami in 2026, coinciding with the United States’ 250th anniversary.

This year’s summit, held in Johannesburg, marked the first G20 meeting on the African continent. Trump skipped the event, citing human rights abuses in South Africa and later announced plans to disinvite the country from the 2026 Miami summit. The G20 includes 19 countries plus the EU and African Union, with permanent and invited participants such as Spain, the IMF, World Bank, and WTO. More

As Vinay Prasad writes, “COVID was 1000 times more likely to kill an 80-year-old than an 8-year-old — myocarditis in young, healthy boys and men had the opposite pattern.” In specific demographics, the risk reached “200-330 per million doses.” Yet instead of responding to clear early warnings, top public-health officials downplayed them. “There were safety signals in May of 2021, when then CDC director Rochelle Walensky claimed there wasn’t any. These agencies did not quickly attempt mitigation strategies.”

The delay was not neutral. It was strategic. In Prasad’s own words: “Worse, the FDA delayed acknowledgement of the safety signal until after it could extend marketing authorization to younger boys 12-15… Had the acknowledgement come early, these younger boys… may have chosen to avoid the products.”

By 2025, Prasad commissioned a full review. The initial findings shocked even the staff: “The team has performed an initial analysis of 96 deaths between 2021 and 2024, and concludes that no fewer than 10 are related.” Scaled to millions of doses, the true toll sits beyond ethical comprehension.

And the admission is explicit: “For the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children.” Kids aged seven to sixteen — healthy, low-risk, coerced by school and workplace mandates — may now be counted among the dead. “Putting these facts together, it is horrifying to consider that the US vaccine regulation… may have harmed more children than we saved.”

Prasad demands accountability: “This fact also demands serious introspection and reform. Why were these deaths not actively reviewed in real time? Why did it take until 2025…? Deaths were reported between 2021 and 2024, and ignored for years.”

He also dispels a favourite talking point: the claim that COVID caused more myocarditis than the vaccines. According to him, that argument “is wrong.”

Some staff who leaked false narratives to the media are called out directly: “This behavior is both unethical, illegal, and… factually incorrect. COVID-19 vaccines did result in the death of children.”

Canada’s broadcasting regulator, the CRTC, is aggressively pushing a top-down diversity agenda that threatens to reshape the country’s media landscape in ways that prioritize identity politics over content quality or audience demand. Under the guise of compliance with the 2023 Online Streaming Act (Bill C-11), the CRTC now requires Netflix, Amazon, and other major online streamers to collect detailed demographic data on key creative personnel—including race, gender, disability status, and sexual orientation. While framed as data collection, this is widely understood as a precursor to quotas and enforced spending on “diverse” production teams.

This is not unprecedented. The CBC has already been ordered to dedicate up to 30% of its commissioned TV and documentary budgets to diverse teams, and the CRTC has been adjusting funding formulas to incentivize coverage of “diverse” communities while siphoning funds from private streamers to DEI-focused industry groups. Even small terrestrial stations are being forced to incorporate diversity considerations into programming and employment practices, long before any formal national diversity framework is finalized.

Critics warn this is the thin end of the wedge. Once the collection of diversity statistics becomes standard practice, it inevitably leads to quotas and state-directed cultural engineering. The regulator is effectively transforming broadcasters into data-reporting arms of government ideology, where creative and operational decisions are judged less by audience appeal or artistic merit and more by demographic compliance.

Reversing this trajectory would require major legislative action, including amendments to the Broadcasting Act to remove the mandate to promote specific races or DEI targets and an outright prohibition on identity-based enforcement. It would also require a new slate of CRTC commissioners committed to a genuinely Canadian identity rather than a kaleidoscopic, state-managed mosaic. Until then, expect demographic tracking, mandated quotas, and government-directed cultural oversight to deepen, undermining free enterprise, media independence, and social cohesion.

Bottom line: The CRTC’s diversity data mandates are the gateway to enforced quotas, ideological control, and the erosion of merit-based broadcasting in Canada. What starts as data collection will end as government-managed cultural engineering.

How Queer Theory in Classrooms Creates Identity Crises in Children

You need to understand the ideas being slipped into your child’s mind at school. Most parents still assume classrooms are all about reading, writing, and basic life skills. But a different project has taken hold—an ideology shaped by academics like David Halperin, Judith Butler, and José Esteban Muñoz. These theorists are clear about their goal: to erase the very idea of “normal” and the traditional family.

Halperin says it plainly: “Queer is by definition whatever is at odds with the normal, the legitimate, the dominant.”
Butler argues gender isn’t real but simply “a repeated stylization of the body.”
Muñoz writes that queerness is about imagining a future where today’s norms no longer exist.

These are the ideas now influencing teacher training, school boards, and the “equity” language showing up in almost every classroom.

Queer Theory claims the very idea of “normal” is oppressive because anyone outside that category becomes “marginalized.” Their solution isn’t to teach kindness or respect as they claim. It’s to erase normality entirely. And the fastest way to do that is by starting with children while their identities are still forming.

If you can convince a child to question everything about themselves—gender, identity, the family structure they live in—you can break the stability that makes “normal” possible. The identity confusion many young kids feel is not a bug of this ideology; it’s the feature. It creates a child who no longer feels grounded. A child who can be reshaped.

The troubling part is that most teachers have no idea this is the ideology they are passing on. They see training packets, colourful posters, and lesson plans written in warm words like “inclusion” and “belonging.” They assume they’re doing something positive. In reality, they’ve become—whether they realize it or not—what Marxists would call “useful idiots,” spreading ideas they don’t fully understand.

But the theorists do understand. Queer Theory comes from the same roots as Marxism: the belief that all hierarchies are oppressive. And the family is one of the oldest hierarchies there is. Parents have authority over children. To these academics, that hierarchy is something to dismantle. “Equity” becomes the tool to weaken parental authority and replace it with ideological authority.

This isn’t about tolerance. It’s not about acceptance. It’s about giving children identity crises to tear down “normal” and loosen the family’s grip so a new worldview can take its place.

If parents don’t push back, someone else will raise their kids—and it won’t be them.

Canada is a Nation Run By Criminals, For Criminals

There comes a point where government waste stops looking like incompetence and starts looking like treason. Canada has long passed that point. What we are witnessing now is not mere mismanagement or bureaucratic drift—it is the systemic looting of a nation by the people meant to serve it. Billions vanish with no oversight, no accountability, and no shame. The numbers have grown so grotesque that one struggles not to call this what it is: organized theft.

Take Stellantis. Ottawa handed the automaker $15 billion—the largest corporate subsidy in Canadian history—and the industry minister didn’t even read the contract before approving it. This, despite Stellantis shifting Jeep production to the U.S., delaying its employment targets at the Windsor battery plant, and refusing to appear before Parliamentary Committee hearings. Honda received a major subsidy without full Treasury Board review. Volkswagen hid its cost estimates. Northvolt was showered with subsidies and then slipped into insolvency. Each scandal blurs into the next until you realize the pattern is not incompetence but a business model.

Then there’s the LNG project in British Columbia. The main industrial partner is an American firm. The terminal will be built overseas, floated to Nisga’a land, and subsidised by Canadian taxpayers. In other words: Canadians take the risk while the profits flow abroad and the jobs go to Korea or Japan.

Or consider Telesat. They received $2.14 billion to connect rural Canadians to high-speed internet—with no obligation to connect a single home, no penalties for failure, no clawbacks if the project collapses, and no enforced timelines. Three years later, the network still does not exist. Meanwhile, Starlink already worked, already served rural communities, could have done it for half the cost, and offered immediate deployment—but was rejected because Elon Musk is “polarizing.”

ArriveCAN? $54 million spent on an app worth $80,000, much of it funnelled to GC Strategies, a boutique firm that admitted it didn’t actually build anything. Then the Sustainable Development Fund—the so-called green slush fund—where $400 million flowed into Liberal-friendly firms.

The State tells us its creed is “responsible governance.” Yet almost every act defies that claim. What we have instead is a system run by well-dressed operators who treat the public purse as their own. Canada is now a nation run by criminals, for criminals.

Carney and Smith Sign Pipeline Deal, Triggering BC Backlash and Guilbeault’s Resignation

Prime Minister Mark Carney and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith have struck a sweeping Memorandum of Understanding that could reshape Canada’s energy future—if it survives the political and practical gauntlet ahead.

At the centre of the deal is a private-sector oil pipeline from Alberta to BC’s Pacific Coast, co-owned with Indigenous partners and tied directly to the Pathways Alliance’s massive carbon-capture and storage project. The agreement aims to push Alberta toward net-zero by 2050 without any interim targets—removing one of the major points of contention between Ottawa and the province.

Under the MOU, Alberta commits to incentivizing data centre development, expanding nuclear generation, and ensuring financial benefits flow to BC. Ottawa, in turn, agrees to scrap the federal oil and gas emissions cap, suspend the clean-electricity regulations, streamline pipeline approvals, tap Indigenous Loan Guarantees, consider adjustments to the Oil Tanker Moratorium Act, raise the industrial carbon price to at least $130 per tonne with contracts for difference, and cut methane emissions 75% below 2014 levels. A pipeline application must be submitted by July, with a stated goal of maximizing Alberta jobs, exports, tax revenues, and finally breaking the province’s over-reliance on US markets.

Supporters frame the deal not only as an economic win, but as a potential pressure valve for national unity. Alberta separatist sentiment—still hovering around one in four voters after years of Ottawa–Prairie battles—could ease if the province sees real gains and fewer federal roadblocks.

But the pushback was immediate and fierce. BC Energy Minister Adrian Dix dismissed the plan entirely, saying it lacks a route, a business case, and a viable market. Coastal First Nations president Marilyn Slett was even clearer: there are no circumstances under which a new pipeline would be acceptable on their territory.

Critics also warn that Ottawa and Alberta may be repeating past mistakes—tying pipelines to climate policy, betting on private proponents who may never materialize, and underestimating the political minefield in BC. The province feels sidelined, Indigenous concerns remain unresolved, and public opinion could turn sharply against the project, just as it has with previous federal energy pushes.

And the political fallout has already begun. Prominent Quebec MP and longtime environmental champion (one might even say zealot) Steven Guilbeault resigned from multiple cabinet portfolios—including Canadian Identity and Culture, Official Languages, Nature and Parks, and his role as Quebec Lieutenant—explicitly citing the Ottawa-Alberta deal as the breaking point. He remains in the Liberal caucus, but his departure highlights deep fractures inside Carney’s government over prioritizing energy growth over stricter climate policy.

The result is a deal with enormous promise—and equally enormous risk. Whether it becomes a historic energy breakthrough or another dead-end battle in Canada’s long pipeline wars now depends on political will, private-sector commitment, and the reaction of the provinces and Indigenous communities who were not part of the signing ceremony.

Canada’s NGO Class Thinks It Should Choose Your Son’s Role Models

The government is now openly debating whether it should police which male voices young men are allowed to hear — and replace them with state-approved role models. At the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, Humberto Carolo of White Ribbon sat before MPs and laid out an uninspired script: young men go online looking for connection, advice, and a sense of who they’re supposed to be — and what they find, he claims, are “deeply misogynistic and hateful” influencers who corrupt them. His solution is as chilling as it is casual: “We need to change that. We need to quiet those hateful voices, misogynistic voices and instead present good role model voices, influencers who can share supportive, ‘allied’ narratives that young men can take on.”

So, Humberto, consider this an open letter:

Let me explain why young men are drawn towards people like Andrew Tate, Myron Gaines, and other “red pill” influencers — the figures you clearly have in mind. It’s not because millions of boys suddenly woke up yearning to be “hateful.” It’s because unimpressive, weak, and condescending men like you — in lockstep with woke politicians, academics, and media — have spent the last 15 years feeding them one message: sit down and shut up.

The most “virtuous” thing a young man can do, you tell him, is erase himself: move aside for women, trans people, and whoever tops the oppression ladder that day. Every movie, policy, and news cycle reinforces the idea that he’s the problem. You and your peers have given him no roadmap for who to be — only a constant warning about what not to be.

That failure is understandable, because listening to you, it’s obvious you have no idea what it means to be a man yourself. You embody what Nietzsche would call slave morality: you can’t live up to the historical standard of strength, courage, and responsibility, so you work to redefine the standard. You cloak this in selflessness and “allyship,” but it’s naked self-interest. You can’t command respect as an individual, so you try to accumulate institutional power. You can’t reach the ideal, so you seek to shatter it.

Evolutionary psychologists have a phrase for people like you: “sneaky f**kers.” Males who mimick feminine traits as a way to gain reproductive access. You are unable to be strong, so you elevate weakness. Unable to be courageous, so you preach passivity. Unable to stand up for yourself, so you help build sprawling bureaucracies to “eradicate hate” and censor anyone who outshines you.

Here’s the irony: I agree that many voices in the manosphere are a net negative. But they exist because of you. You and your class created the market. Young men listen to you and feel only guilt, embarrassment, and confusion. Then someone — anyone — comes along and speaks to their desire for strength, and they follow.

You’re not the saviour in this story, Humberto. You’re the reason it’s happening.

FBI ‘Following the Money’ to Map Out Entire Antifa Network

The FBI is “following the money” to map out Antifa’s entire network, agency director Kash Patel says, after the group was designated a domestic terrorist organization by President Trump. The move gives investigators enhanced powers to trace funding, work with the Treasury, and coordinate prosecutions.

Patel highlighted ongoing cases, including the July Prairieland attack outside a Texas ICE detention center, where a police officer was shot. Dozens have been charged with terrorism-related and violent offences.

Trump has also labelled overseas Antifa groups in Germany, Italy, and Greece as foreign terrorist organizations, citing their anarchist and Marxist ideologies and use of violence to advance anti-American and anti-capitalist agendas. More

National Guard Member Killed in DC Shooting— Trump Freezes Afghan Visas, Bolsters Security

29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal—who entered the US in 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome after the Afghanistan withdrawal—allegedly carried out an ambush-style shooting just steps from the White House around 2:15 p.m.

Lakanwal, who had previously worked with multiple US government agencies, including the CIA, during his service with a partner force in Kandahar, shot two West Virginia National Guard members at point-blank range during their patrol. He was quickly subdued and taken into custody.

One of the victims, Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, died from her injuries. The second guardsman remains in critical condition after emergency surgery. Calling the attack “monstrous” and carried out by someone who “should never have been allowed into our country,” President Trump announced an immediate, indefinite suspension of all immigration requests from Afghan nationals. At the same time, security and vetting procedures will undergo a full review. More than 190,000 Afghans have resettled in the US through Operation Allies Welcome and related programs since 2021.

The administration has also ordered US Citizenship and Immigration Services to reexamine every green card issued to Afghans and individuals from 19 other “countries of concern.”

Separately, Trump ordered the Department of War to deploy 500 additional troops to bolster security in Washington, reiterating a zero-tolerance approach to threats on U.S. soil and calling for the removal of any foreign nationals who “do not belong or provide benefit to the nation.” More

Molson Canada Accuses Ex-Managers of Embezzling Millions

Molson Canada has filed a lawsuit accusing former sales director Frank Ivankovic and others of orchestrating a multi-million-dollar fraud scheme involving fake invoices from shell companies. According to court documents, Ivankovic allegedly funnelled nearly $9.1 million from Molson since 2021 to himself and his wife, Kelly O’Brien-Ivankovic, with involvement from Firkin Hospitality Group president Larry Isaacs and his wife.

The scheme reportedly used companies called Letz Go and 466 Ontario to disguise payments, with at least one former employee helping issue fraudulent purchase orders. Molson claims Ivankovic tracked the transactions in spreadsheets and deleted relevant data, while his wife had signing authority over accounts used.

The allegations include fraud, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment. Isaacs’s lawyer has called the claims baseless, and none of the accusations have been proven in court. Molson is seeking millions in damages.

The worst came here: the 1985 Air India Flight 182 bombing, planned on Canadian soil by extremists tied to the cause. It was the deadliest act of aviation terror before 9/11. Canada paid a steep price for ignoring early warnings.

That history gives weight to what happened in Ottawa. Tens of thousands came not only to vote on Punjab’s future but to show anger at Ottawa’s handling of India. Their official Teacher magazine is pushing activities where kindergarten kids pull ivy as a metaphor for “oppression,” stare at clouds to reflect on their gender identity, and use tree shapes to question whether “male/female” or even “right/wrong” should exist at all. The curriculum sets no lower age limit on when this should begin.

All of this despite the basic biological fact that B.C.’s entire ecosystem—salmon, orcas, deer, cedar trees—depends on male and female reproduction. But teachers are told that even explaining “birds and bees” affirms “colonial discourses.”

This is being framed as a political fight: because Alberta pushed back on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) policies and brought in parental consent rules, BC must now double down and inject SOGI and “anti-colonial narratives” into every single subject, including nature walks.

Somehow, this is what passes for education policy in 2025. However, it’s important to note that the fallout of this isn’t abstract—it’s real, and it’s dangerous. When we turn basic education into ideological experimentation, kids lose the grounding they need to make sense of the world. We confuse them about the fundamentals of biology, we strip away shared truths, and we undermine parents who expect school to teach English, math, and science—not political activism dressed up as nature class.

If this is the direction we push our education system, we’re not just short-changing a generation of children; we’re eroding the foundation of what it means to grow up in Canada. We are raising kids in a fog of manufactured confusion, and we will be paying the price for decades.
